| Product Story | Koyamaki wood has been used since ancient times in Japan and was widely employed in coffins during the Kofun period (300A.D.-700A.D.). As its name suggests, it has deep ties to Mount Koya and is used as a substitute for funeral flowers. Although the Koyamaki genus was widely distributed across the Northern Hemisphere during the Mesozoic Era, today only Koyamaki, a species endemic to Japan, survives. |
